At the Members’ Meeting on Monday 27th April 2026, the AGM was held, and there was a Houseplant Display competition – members could vote for their favourite house plant..
In first place was Chris Tonge was a beautiful Calla Lily ( see the first three photos below). Second was Elinor Birrell (photos 4 and 5) with her Calathea Insignis – (note from the internet – this species, formerly assigned to Calathea, is now in the genus Goeppertia, The Rattlesnake Plant which is distinguished by its slender, wavy-edged leaves) Third place went to Diana Ennos with her medley of cacti and succulents (photos 6 and 7).
