SUMMARY:Evening visit to Shepherd House Garden Inveresk
DESCRIPTION:Our evening outing in May this year will be a visit to Shepherd House Garden near Musselburgh.  CGC will supply wine and soft drinks and there will also be an opportunity to buy cards and prints of Lady Fraser’s botanical illustrations. A charitable donation of Ł5pp will be collected on the night. We will make our own way there (car sharing encouraged!). Poster here and more information here \nOur hosts have requested a maximum of 50 people in the group\, so a registration process will operate.  This will be on a strictly first-come-first-served basis.  The first 50 members who email their interest to our Outings Officer will be invited to attend\, and a waiting list will be set up for any other places. DESCRIPTION:The Garden Club is holding its annual Coffee Morning and Plant and Bulb Sale at its usual venue in the St Cuthbert’s Episcopal Church Hall in Westgarth Ave.  We hope that you will be able to come! Entrance and refreshments will be free for paid-up members. Non-members may join at the door (only Ł8 per annum!).  It is hoped that card payments will be possible on the Club’s new card reader\, but please bring cash as well – just in case…\n\n\n\n \nAs well as Refreshments\, there will be a Plant Stall\,  Bulb Stall\,  Cakes\, Jams and Chutneys for sale\,  Produce Stall\,  Books & Garden Accessories Stall and the Seed Swap Box! We will be complying with the Hall’s Covid safety precautions by minimising queues or crowding\, offering sanitizer\, wearing masks\, and collecting names and phone numbers of all who are attending.\n \nAs always\, we are appealing for donations of plants\, accessories and baking to sell for the Club’s funds.  Please start potting up rooted cuttings\, seedlings and unwanted plants now!  We welcome\n\n\nAll potted plants – for house or garden – clearly labelled with their names.\nHome grown produce – we want your excess apples\, plums\, carrots\, tomatoes\, etc!\n\nHome Baking – Cakes that we can sell along with the coffees and teas\nUnwanted Gardening Books\nGarden Accessories – ceramic plant pots (not plastic ones)\, unwanted tools\, etc\nSeeds for our (free) seed swap box.  Packeted and labelled please.\nHomemade jams and chutneys\n\n\nYour donations may be brought along to the hall on the actual morning from 8.30am onwards.

DESCRIPTION:We hope to offer a wide range of plants\, fruit and vegetables for sale. A range of bulbs at highly competitive prices will also be available including more exotic varieties not usually available through retail outlets. We’ll be delighted to receive items for sale at St Cuthbert’s Episcopal Church Hall from 8.30 on the morning of the event.  Items can also be delivered to committee members the evening before. Please label plants with their name and their eventual size where possible. Cuttings\, pottings-on and mature plantings all welcome. Home-grown fruit and vegetables are also welcome. Most importantly\, come along to the sale and meet your friends over a cuppa.
